  • Doesn’t match up

    By Lozo69 (Pcmac user)

I did what was supposed to be an intermediate run with 45 second sprints. The problem is those “sprints” were only 5.6 on the treadmill. No problem, I’ll just start over and kick my experience level up to advanced. When it gave me a new plan there were still no level 3 runs. At one point I did a workout that said it was going to be 3 miles in 30 minutes but the whole time it told me to run at a 4.7 pace. How does the math work out on that? If I stick this plan out I’ll actually be reversing the conditioning I’ve done on my own over the past few weeks and I’m no pro either. Oh, and the app doesn’t let you incorporate the heart rate monitoring native to the Apple Watch. If you want to do that they want you to purchase their proprietary heart rate monitoring headphones. No thanks! In fact, it does not even have an iwatch app. The best thing I can say about the app is the coaching is the best I’ve seen in an app. Having her say my name from time to time was a nice touch. I really want to like this app but I’m still deleting it.
  • Love it!

    By vilerat (Pcmac user)

I use a treadmill in the winter and the app works pretty well on it. I’m bummed she won’t work using an Apple Watch so I could watch Netflix while jogging. There’s a monthly fee so they aren’t losing out on much money. Despite my gripe I’ve gone ahead and ordered the Sense after just one run. Quality trainer. I’ve tried a lot of apps, have a lot of gadgets, and haven’t encountered anything like the app. I have faith she’ll get me above a casual speed on my bike, too, once it’s warm again in spring. I really hope that using the Sense I can go back to Netflix binges while on the treadmill.
  • Concept great but needs more development

    By sgmiller (Pcmac user)

The basic concept Is great but it needs further development, particularly along the lines of transparency. At the moment, it’s not really possible to know why things are being recommended or where one stands in terms of how the app is measuring your progress/fitness. There is also way too much “canned” coaching (“you rock”) That is distracting from what the AI is seemingly trying to do. Also, the whole system cries out for an Apple Watch app without which I don’t see myself continuing to use it much longer. Also, support has fallen off a cliff. The app advertises as writing to Apple Health but I can’t find a way to do it. I must’ve sent support at least a dozen messages and received only one email saying they were working on it but since then I’ve heard nothing and the problem has not been resolved. Bottom line… I don’t use it anymore and I can’t see going back. Note: to show you how bad things have become the developer response says to contact support so they can discuss the “issues“ but if you send an email to support they never answer. My personal opinion is that this company is on life-support.
  • Who beta tests this?

    By W477Y (Pcmac user)

If you have a beta test program I’d love to sign up and help. “Short and sweet” is not short enough. Sometimes I listen to podcasts and audiobooks while I run andI don’t need the app in my ear every 30 seconds to a minute to give me motivation or hear her impression of a bird. All I need are the stats I’ve set up at the intervals I’ve set. I fear what her chattier settings are like. In the pre made runs we need a setting to change the speed to a pace. Im used to dealing with pace not speed. It’s easier for a runner to know what a pace of 10:00 feels like over a speed of 6 miles an hour. And it gets harder trying to do the math in my head for a speed of 6.5 miles per hour.
