  • An app in progress.

    By Elle Rae (Pcmac user)

I purchased this app specifically to show a client who owns two large resorts and several outposts on Lake of the Woods, the second largest lake in Ontario after the Great Lakes, the benefit of promoting something like this to all of their customers. Unfortunately, when I searched for Longbow Lake, one of their camp lakes, it was not shown (two others were), so I searched for Lake of the Woods -- not found. That really surprised me. I did a few more searches and found that lakes in NW ON were being entered it just seems that it's somewhat haphazard what is and isn't in the app. However, the rest of the app is quite exceptional. Once you do find a lake it provides you with an abundance of nicely displayed, easy to read, and easy to understand information for the experienced and new angler. General fishing info like how to clean and fillet fish, and general fishing info like when to fish. Overall the app is about 80% there. The unfortunate thing is that there's no way to tell if the lake(s) you want are in the app. So it could be a waste of money for many people. Fortunately the developers seem responsive. It will be interesting to see this app grow and evolve.
  • Missing lakes

What you might expect from a 4.99 app. The concept is good but the app runs a little sluggish, lakes that are listed have no maps. I selected several lakes that I have been to and no maps are displayed. Maps that I did find have no better detail than what I can find searching the web Somewhat disappointed. Please improve

Difficult to navigate and the lake search engine is poorly designed.
  • Disappointing

The three lakes I fish in Ontario are not in this program. Wasted my 5$.
