What is iGurbani? iGurbani is a Gurbani search engine app that allows users to search the Sikh scriptures with a focus on accurately reading the shabads from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The app features a revolutionary style of showing the vishraams, highlighting them in a specific color instead of using commas and other punctuation. The app also includes translations in English and other languages, as well as multiple keyboards and search options.

Software Features and Description

1. The focus of this app is to allow the user to accurately read the shabads from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji following a revolutionary style of showing the vishraams.

2. PLEASE NOTE: Since the Gurmukhi is from a new source and the database has been rebuilt from the ground up there are some errors that we could not catch during development.

3. With the Grace of God the Akal Design team developed iGurbani with a new database from the ground up.

4. iGurbani - A powerful Gurbani Search Engine that allows you to search the Sikh scriptures.

5. Instead of commas and other punctuation the vishraams are highlighed in a specific color.

6. We are going to rely on the Sangat to help us identify and correct those errors.

Download and install the iGurbani app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .

Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using iGurbani on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "iGurbani"
The search will reveal the iGurbani app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once iGurbani is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including iGurbani.
Now enjoy iGurbani on PC.

- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

Installing iGurbani:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "iGurbani" » Click "Install" to install iGurbani
- iGurbani will now be available on your windows start-menu.

Latest update deleted all favorites

As much as I loved this app, the latest update really messed things up. All favorites were deleted after the update, and I’m not even able to import an old backup file anymore. Additionally, when you’re viewing a shabad, you now have to scroll up to access the back button/menu bar. Previously, all you had to do was tap the screen anywhere once to bring up the menu bar. This small detail has made a big impact when using the app while doing keertan. You have to lose your place in a shabad in order to access the menu bar. This is still my preferred iOS app for Gurbani search. But I wish the developer team would respond to feedback and address these kinds of issues.

VaheGuru Ji Ka Khalsa, VaheGuru Ji Ki Fateh! I don't write reviews, but I had to for this. You lot are amazing. This is one of the most beautiful apps I have on my phone. The effort you put into this is clear. The fact that its free just adds to the fact that this was done as Seva not self-profit. Thank you greatly. However, with the new update the app has begun crashing. Please provide an update. Chardi Kala!
The best app for Gurbani Search

This is the best app for Gurbani Search I used so far. This app used to have Bhagat Jaswant Singh's Santhiya option but in the recent version, that is removed. I really miss that. I hope the developers will restore that in the next version. Thank you for your hard work.

Vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ji ki fateh vaheguru ji this aap is so awesome . But in latest version of ios it is not fully compatible. Because when we will click on the history button then aap will stop working and automatically off . Please fix this bug this is humble request. 🙏🏻 vjkkvjkf
